How the deposit process works
When you set up your Keep secured card, you’ll add a one-time security deposit from your linked bank account. This deposit determines your card’s available spending limit.
You can choose any deposit amount between $50 and $5,000. Only bank accounts you linked during your application can be used to add your deposit.
Adding your deposit for your Keep secured card takes just a couple of simple steps:
1. Enter your deposit amount
You’ll be prompted to add your security deposit. Enter the amount you’d like to deposit, or select from quick options.
2. Choose your linked account
Select the verified bank account you want to use. If you need to update your bank account, contact support@trykeep.com before continuing.
What happens after you add your deposit
Once your deposit is submitted:

You’ll receive an email confirming your deposit is processing.

The status of your deposit will update in real time in your Keep dashboar
Here’s what you’ll see:

Deposit in progress — Your payment is being processed. This typically takes 3–4 business days.

$50 CAD available immediately — The first $50 of your deposit is available to use right away, as soon as you initiate the deposit.
If your payment fails
In some cases, deposits may not go through—for example, if your bank account doesn’t have enough funds or there’s an issue with the bank.
If this happens:

You’ll see a message in your Keep dashboard letting you know your deposit couldn’t be collected.

How to resolve it:

Try again — Follow the instructions to retry your deposit. You can use the same bank account or another one that’s already connected to Keep.
