How Keep is handling the 2024 Postal Strike

Due to logistical challenges caused by the ongoing Canada Post workers' strike, shipments for physical Keep cards have been affected.

Here’s what you can expect: 

  • Physical card shipments now offer an Express option for immediate delivery via FedEx Canada at $25 CAD.
  • Physical cards with standard shipping will display a “Pending” status (The timeline depends on the resolution of Canada Post’s strike).
  • This only impacts physical cards; you can still create virtual cards to make purchases without any disruption.

Shipment Status

When you request a physical card, you will need to select one of the following shipment options:

  1. Express: Your card will ship immediately via FedEx Canada for $25 CAD.
  2. Standard: Your card will be placed on the waitlist for postponed delivery and will ship once the strike ends.

When you request a new physical card and choose the standard delivery,  it may now display a "Pending" status in your account. This indicates that your card request is in our system but is experiencing delays in shipment due to external circumstances.

What This Means for You:

  • Express shipping ensures your card is delivered quickly to minimize disruptions.
  • The "Pending" status only affects physical card issuance and shipment.  Virtual cards remain fully available and can be used without interruption.

  1. How long will my physical card shipment be in "Pending" status?

    The timeline depends on the resolution of Canada Post’s strike. We’ll update you as soon as possible.

  2. Can I still use my account if my physical card shipment is pending?                                          Absolutely! Virtual cards remain unaffected and can be used for all transactions.
  3. How do I switch to using a virtual card?                                                                                                                        You can activate and manage virtual cards directly from the Keep dashboard under the Cards section.   4. What if I urgently need a physical card?                                                                                                            Choose the Express Shipping option ($25 CAD via FedEx Canada) during the ordering process. If you’ve already ordered, contact Customer Support for help with prioritizing your request.
