How to Manage Banking and Open a Multi-Currency Account

Keep’s Banking feature allows you to hold, send, receive, and convert funds across multiple currencies with low FX fees. These accounts are ideal for:

  • Paying contractors and vendors in different currencies
  • Receiving client payments from international sources
  • Reducing currency conversion costs

Before you get started 

Keep offers Multi-Currency Accounts in the following currencies:

  • CAD – Canadian Dollar
  • USD – United States Dollar
  • EUR – Euro
  • GBP – British Pound Sterling
  • MXN – Mexican Peso

Each account allows you to send and receive payments in that currency, view real-time balances, and track transactions.

How to Open a Multi-Currency Account

1. Log In to Your Dashboard

Go to app.trykeep.com and log in to your Keep account.

2. Navigate to Banking

Click Banking in the left-hand menu.

3. Create a New Account

Click + Account to start the process.

4. Provide the Required Information

To comply with Canadian regulations, you will be redirected to a survey where you must provide necessary details.

  • Once your request is submitted, it may take up to one business day for access to be granted.

  • If your business has an additional Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO), we will require identity verification.

    • You will receive an email with a link to provide proof of ID.

    • If you do not receive this email within three days, contact support@trykeep.com.

5. View Your Account

Once approved, your CAD account will appear in your Banking dashboard.

From your Banking dashboard, you can:

  • Send payments by clicking the Send button.

  • Convert currencies between your accounts using the Convert button.

  • Add contacts by clicking the Recipient  button and completing the recipient's information.

To open additional currency accounts (USD, EUR, GBP, or MXN):

  • Click the + Account button and select the currency you want to add.
  • Each currency account will have its own balance and transaction history.

Viewing and Managing Transactions

To view transactions for a specific account:

  1. Go to Banking
    Click Banking in the left-hand menu to see all your currency accounts.
  2. Select a Currency Account
    • You’ll see your recent transactions and available balance at the top.
    • The balance is shown alongside its currency icon or flag.
    • Tip: Click the balance or its drop-down arrow to view a pop-up showing your Current Balance, Pending Transactions, and Available Balance.
  3. Manage Transactions & Settings
    Across the top-right, you’ll find action buttons:
    • Send: Initiate a payment or transfer from this currency account.
    • Convert: Exchange funds between any of your currency accounts.
    • Details: View important deposit/transfer details (e.g., account number, routing info).
    • Statements: Generate a formal statement of your transactions.
    • Export: Download your transaction history.

Account Details

  • Access bank name, account number, routing code, and address by clicking Details.
  • Use these details to fund your Keep account from external sources.

    Once you complete the survey and required verifications, approval typically occurs within one business day.
  3. Can I open more than one Multi-Currency Account?
    Yes. You can hold separate accounts for CAD, USD, EUR, GBP, and MXN, all visible in one dashboard.
  4. How do I view my total balance?
    In Banking, your total balances are displayed at the top. Click the balance dropdown to switch between currencies.
  5. Can I download my account statements?
    Absolutely. Select the currency account, then click Statements (top-right) to download or export past statements
