How to reset your Keep account password

Before you get started: Make sure you have access to the phone number associated with your Keep account. This is the same number verified during onboarding. You'll need it to complete the reset.
How the password reset works
Keep's password reset uses two steps to verify it's really you:
- Email link — you request a reset and receive a link by email.
- SMS code — after clicking the link, a one-time code is sent to your registered phone number. You enter the code to confirm your identity, then set a new password.
This means that even if someone has access to your email, they cannot reset your password without also controlling your registered phone.
How to reset your password
- Go to the Keep login page and click Forgot password.
- Enter your email address and click Send reset link.
- Check your email and click the reset link.
- A one-time SMS code will be sent to the phone number on file for your account.
- Enter the code on the verification screen.
- Set your new password and confirm.
- You'll receive a confirmation by both email and SMS once your password has been updated.
💡 The SMS code is the same type of verification you already use when logging in from a new device.
What if I don't receive the SMS code?
If you don't receive the SMS code or no longer have access to your registered phone number, you won't be able to complete the reset on your own.
In that case:
- Contact our support team at support@trykeep.com.
- A Keep support agent can issue a password reset directly from our end.
- This is the same process used for any account access issue.

What phone number will the code be sent to?
The code is sent to the phone number you provided and verified when you first opened your Keep account. If you're not sure which number is on file check Settings > Profile.
What if I changed my phone number?
If you no longer have access to your registered phone number, contact our support team at support@trykeep.com. A support agent can verify your identity and issue a reset from our end.
How long is the SMS code valid?
The code expires shortly after it is sent. If it expires before you enter it, you can request a new one from the verification screen.
Is my phone number stored securely?
Yes. Your phone number was collected as part of KYC verification during onboarding and is stored securely. It is only used for account security purposes such as this verification step.
