Keeping your contact information up to date is essential. You can now easily update your email and phone number directly from the Keep Dashboard. 

This article will guide you through the steps to update your contact information, whether you are filling out an application or using our dashboard.

What Information Is Included in a Keep User Profile?

Keep user profiles contain the following information:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Mailing address

How Do I Update My Personal Profile ?

Any user can update the following information in their Keep account profile:

  • Email address

  • Phone number

How It Works When Applying

During the application process, you can quickly and easily update your contact details. Here’s how:

  1. Access Your Profile:
    Click on the menu at the top of the application screen.
  2. Navigate to Profile:
    Select Profile from the menu options.
  3. Update Your Contact Information:
    Update your email or phone number as needed.
  4. Verify Your Changes:
    A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your updated email or phone number. Enter the OTP to verify the change.
  5. Confirmation:
    Once verified, your new contact information will be updated in the system.

How It Works for Active Users 

Active users can update their contact details directly from the Keep Dashboard. Here’s how:

  1. Log In to Your Keep Account:
    Access the Keep Dashboard by logging in with your existing credentials.
  2. Navigate to Settings:
    Click on Settings on the left-hand side panel.
  3. Update Your Contact Information:
    Go to Personal Information and update your email or phone number.
  4. Verify the Change:
    A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your email or phone number. Enter the OTP to verify the change.
  5. Confirmation:
    Once verified, your contact details will be updated in the system.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • I didn’t receive the OTP code: Make sure your mobile device has connectivity. If the OTP doesn’t arrive, click “Resend OTP” to try again. Double-check that your contact information is correct.
  • OTP code expired: OTP codes are only valid for a short time. If yours has expired, click “Resend OTP” to receive a new one. 
  • Unable to update contact information: Confirm that you’ve entered the correct phone number. If the issue persists, reach out to Keep's support team at support@keep.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I update both my email and phone number at the same time?
    Yes, you can update both, but each change will require its own OTP verification.
  • What happens if I enter the wrong OTP?
    You will be prompted to enter the OTP again. Ensure you use the correct code sent to your updated contact method.
  • Will my previous contact information be saved?
    No, once you verify your new details, the previous contact information will be replaced in our system to maintain your security.
  • What if I no longer have access to my old email or phone number?
    You can still update your contact information without access to the old details. You will need to verify the new contact method using the OTP.
  • How do I update another user's profile in Keep? You can’t update another user’s profile information directly, even an employee’s. Each user must log in to their own account to make updates to their personal information, ensuring the security and privacy of all user data.
