Before you get started
Your Keep secured card limit is always equal to the total amount you have deposited as security. You can increase your limit at any time by adding more to your secured deposit. Each additional deposit directly increases your card’s available limit.
How increasing your deposit works
When you request an increase, you decide how much you want to add to your secured deposit. You can complete the deposit in two ways:
-
Pre-authorized debit (PAD) from a verified linked bank account
-
Interac e-Transfer, if available in your dashboard
Once processed, your total secured deposit will be updated in your Keep dashboard, and your card limit will match the new total.
Example: If you currently have a $1,000 secured deposit and request to add $500, your new card limit will become $1,500 once the new deposit is processed.
How to request an increase
To request an increase to your secured deposit:
-
Go to your Keep dashboard and find the Total credit limit card
-
Click Add security deposit
-
Enter the amount you want to add (minimum $100)
-
Choose your payment method — PAD or Interac e-Transfer
-
Confirm and submit your request
-
What happens after your request
Once your request is submitted:
-
The deposit amount you selected will be debited from your chosen payment method
-
Once processed, your secured deposit will be updated and your new card limit will reflect the total
-
PAD deposits can take up to 10 business days to settle, depending on your bank
-
Interac e-Transfers are usually instant.
You’ll receive a confirmation when your new limit is active in your dashboard and through your email.
