Understand Statement Extensions: If you're unsure what a statement extension is, please read more about it here. If you wish to activate statement extensions, refer to the same article for instructions.

Make sure that the statement extension financial plan is turned on. You can verify this by opening the Statement Extension section, ensuring the toggle is on, and confirming that you see the message "Automatic Statement Extensions are ON."

Please note that this article covers how to make an early payment toward your statement extension—not your remaining card balance. If you're only looking to pay off your Keep card balance, please refer to this article.

What Happens After the Payment: Payment Processing Status

Payment In Process: While your payment is being processed, all future installments will be marked as "In Progress," and the "Pay in full" button will be disabled to prevent double payments.

Payment Failure: If your payment fails, a "Failed Payment" message will appear, and you'll be able to retry the payment from the statement extensions page.

Payment Success: Once your payment is successful:

  • All remaining unpaid installments will be marked as Paid.
  • When fully paid, the statement extension will move to the Closed tab, and all installments will be marked as Paid.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I make a partial early payment?
No. At the moment, Keep only allows payments in full for statement extensions.
  2. How long does it take for my payment to process?
The payment will be processed instantly if you choose to pay from the Keep banking account. For all other external accounts, it may take 2-3 business days.
  3. What happens if my payment fails?
If your payment fails, a “Failed Payment” banner will appear on your dashboard, allowing you to retry the payment without any additional fee from us. However, if the due date passes while the payment is being processed and it fails, a late fee might apply. To avoid this, please ensure your account has sufficient funds when making an early payment.
  4. What should I do if I accidentally make a payment for the wrong balance?
If you mistakenly make a payment for your card balance instead of your statement extension, please contact Keep support immediately for assistance.
